#engageyeg Social Media Photo Contest

We all hope you are enjoying the sun on this spurt of lovely spring weather. We at the City of Edmonton Youth Council are launching a Social Media Contest called #engageyeg. This contest will aim to get youth involved in their City and showcasing what activities youth are participating in, and what they are proud of.  It can be anything, small or big, inside our outdoors, by yourself or with others and most importantly it is personalized and what is important to you. So go take some time and have some fun capturing what you love about #yeg and how you get engaged.  Some examples would be enjoying the wonderful City of Edmonton attractions, recreation facilities, like maybe getting closer at the Valley Zoo or Muttart Conservatory. Or by enjoying the outdoors through the River Valley or catching an event in City Hallto connect with your local Mayor and City Councillors. It could also be as simple as your ride on Edmonton Transit Service, or enjoying your neighborhood and community in the Winter.

This is all about sharing the love for a WinterCity and the passion for engagement in Edmonton. We are launching this contest to provide you (the youth and future of Edmonton) with an opportunity to showcase these experiences and enter a contest to win some prizes. Read through the details and get your pictures submitted via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hastag #engageyeg

So snap a picture and upload it to Social Media with the hastag #engageyeg. We hope that everyone sees excitement in this and joins the fun over the next few weeks.

Head over to the link on our webpage here for full contest rules.
