The Alberta Junior Athletic Award recognizes and rewards junior athletes and provides an incentive for athletes to continue with their post-secondary education.

The annual “Pay it Forward” scholarship is offered to deserving student-athletes in Alberta. There will be one recipient (male or female) selected from each of the eight zones.

This scholarship recognizes the top male and top female Alberta students who have excelled in track and field, have a strong academic record and plan to continue their studies at the post-secondary level in Alberta.

To recognize the outstanding achievements of one female & one male graduating High School Student in the areas of: Athletics, Academics, Leadership & Community Service, Sportsmanship & Fair Play.
